Overview
As one of the leading software tools for independent Amazon retailers, ASINTool required a modern website design that complemented its growing popularity and success. In addition, the website required customized back-end development to successfully integrate the company’s software into the ASIN lookup and search website.
Design
ASINTool required a custom design that encouraged customer interaction, beginning with a banner and ending with a call-to-action form. In addition, we created video tutorials to explain how the software worked, which walked users through the user-friendly backend interface. Lastly, we built landing pages for the company’s SEO and PPC campaigns.
Development
The site’s construction began with custom coding and frameworks, for both the front- and backend interfaces. Site construction required HTML5 and CS3, and jQuery for AJAX and pop-ups (i.e., video pop-ups). An SSL certificate was included to add a secure socket layer on the site’s backend, specifically for the checkout system.
SEO
In addition to designing the aforementioned landing pages, we also integrated specific keyword targets onto the pages, both for SEO and PPC purposes. Also, all site pages were brought up to the latest SEO semantic markup standards, all content was optimized, and a basic backlink strategy was implemented. Finally, we integrated social media buttons for accessible sharing of information.
Programming
The entire site was built with 100% custom programming (no existing software base) using PHP and MySQL database. We created an automated register form with email notifications and confirmations, to validate email and user info, and constructed a backend interface for uploading inventory files and exporting converted product data. A secure checkout form was integrated with Authorize.net, including Authorize.net’s ARB subscription integration for monthly membership subscriptions. Lastly, Amazon API integration was necessary for collecting XML-formatted results, parsing data, and storing to user accounts, all possible because we’re an authorized Amazon developer.
