Phase 1 – Project Planning
What to Expect
- A SEOWebsiteDesign.com specialist will communicate with you to determine your production’s goals, concerns, and requirements.
- Zeus will prepare and deliver an estimate based on your project requirements.
Client Responsibilities
- Be specific and precise in communicating your productions requirements and desired functionalities (e.g., design preferences or software requirements).
- Review and accept proposal.
- At this point, a 50% deposit will be required to begin your production.
Tip: It is important to clearly communicate all of your production requirements as additions or scope changes may be more costly if added to the production later.
Phase 2 – Concepts and Design
What to Expect
- A Zeus web design expert will create your website as a graphic illustration, including mock-ups of navigation, content, and graphical placeholders.
- Once the design drafts are complete, we will place them on our test server (ZeusClients.com) for your review.
- Once you are completely satisfied with the overall look and feel of your new website design, we will move on to the next phase.
Client Responsibilities
- Review design concepts provided by Zeus on our test server (ZeusClients.com).
- Provide input and modifications to be made, if any. (In rare cases, if many extensive modifications and re-designs are required, they can be provided for an additional fee.)
- Before completion of phase 2, it is necessary to submit all required content.
Tip: Keep your production’s timeline on track by promptly submitting approvals and website content.
Phase 3 – Website Development
What to Expect
- Zeus web development specialists will begin to transform the completed design into a custom, hand-coded website structure that will be used throughout the site to ensure the content is delivered in a clean and consistent method.
- Your site will be temporarily hosted on our test server and will be available for you to view throughout the development process.
- Our developers will start to develop or integrate software if required.
- Images and content will be placed on your website.
Client Responsibilities
- Be readily available for communication primarily via email for any questions.
- If necessary, provide us with all usernames, passwords, and any information needed to install or configure software.
- Purchase a web hosting account or domain name for your website from our hosting/domain registry, Madfire.com; alternatively, be sure to provide us with correct FTP and control panel login to prevent any delays.
- At this point, a 40% payment will be required to move to the next phase.
Tip: Ask a Zeus expert which hosting plan is appropriate for your new website. Additional traffic, software, and site size will all contribute to different hosting requirements.
Phase 4 – Test and Refine
What to Expect
- The Zeus team will test your entire website and software to ensure everything is functioning as planned.
- A site-wide link and spell check are performed.
Client Responsibilities
- Review website and submit any edits or errors you may come across, this will be your final edit list. Any edits beyond this point will have an effect on your site’s launch date and may require additional funds to complete.
- At this point, your final 10% payment will be required to move to the next phase.
Tip: Be sure to create one final list of edits, rather than several emails or phone calls; this will enable the developers to check off and complete your final edits promptly and more efficiently.
Phase 5 – Website Launch
What to Expect
- Once Zeus has completed your final edits, your site will begin transferring to your live hosting account.
- If your website required a database to connect to software, it may require up to two days to implement from this point in the project.
